Your Aberdeen Wings continued their offensive outburst Saturday night at the Odde Ice Center as they came away with a 9-0 exhibition game victory over the North Iowa Bulls. Peter Morgan started things for the Wings in the 1st period with Weigel assisting on what would be the first of 3 for Morgan. Decina would make it 2-0 early in the 2nd on an unassisted goal. That seemed to open the flood gates as the Wings would add four more goals in the 2nd. Scoring Pokorny would make is 3-0 at the 14:34 mark with Murphy and Belisle getting the assists . Beatty got his first of the night when he made it 4-0. Assisting was Bendorf. Kennedy would follow that up seconds later making it 5-0. Kennedy’s goal was unassisted. Morgan would get his second of the night to close out the scoring in the 2nd period. Decina and Easterson had the assists on Morgans goal. The 3rd period was more of the same for the Wings as they would get goals from Belisle, Beatty & Morgan’s hat trick to take the 9-0 win. Assists in the 3rd went to Murphy, Belisle, Bendorf & Easterson. Combining for the shut out were Connor Close & Matt Vernon.
The Wings continue their exhibition schedule this Friday @ Brookings and Saturday they will return to the Odde to take on the Blizzard. Saturday night will be the final pre-season tune up before heading to Blaine for the NAHL Showcase.
