Wings sign MN forward to tender

The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League, have announced the tender signing of Ian Ness ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Ness, a 5’8″ 160 lb. forward from Moorhead, MN, currently plays for Moorhead High School as well as in the UMHSEHL with Team Sanford Power. This season, he has three goals and three assists in eleven games for Moorhead High, and had five goals and seven assists in 19 games for the elite league with Sanford Power this fall.

“Ian Ness is a fast and crafty forward who plays dependable in all areas of the ice,” Wings head coach Scott Langer said. “He’s a top-line player who helped Team Sanford win the Elite League Championship in October. Ian brings a ton of grit and vision with his game. He’s a very tough penalty killer and first power play shooter, with a knack for setting up big plays. He’ll fit in nicely with our other recruits and be a very solid NAHL forward.”
