Wings Sign Carter Roo To Tender

The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League are pleased to announce the signing of forward Carter Roo to a tender contract for the 2015-2016 season.

Roo, the brother of former Wings standout TJ Roo, is currently the team captain of Benilde-St. Margeret’s Red Knights. Roo has scored 5 goals and 17 assists this season. In 27 games last season, he tallied 15 goals and 22 assists. In the 2012-2013 season, he had 19 goals and 33 assists. During his freshman season, Roo managed 11 goals and 12 assists.

"Carter is an exceptional passer with good vision and hockey intelligence,” said Aberdeen Wings Director of Scouting Mike Grattan. “He is one of those players that the puck seems to find and he makes those around him better."

Carter Roo is the brother of TJ Roo who played for the Aberdeen Wings in the 2013-2014 season. TJ was named the 2013-2014 NAHL Rookie of the Year and made a Division-I commitment to Bemidji State University as a member of the Wings. He is currently a forward for the Fargo Force of the USHL.
