Wings Shutout in Iowa

Mar 20, 2023

The Wings got shutout in their final regular season game against the North Iowa Bulls. Moore saved 19/23, while Day was able to stop all 24 sent his way.

The first period was even, as both teams had 11 shots on goal. The only difference is one penalty, the Wings got called for tripping and the Bulls were able to take advantage of it. Which is what put them up 1 after the first period.

The second period was a Bulls scoring spree. They scored 3 unanswered goals to make it a 4-0 game at the end of two. Pretty even with shots on goal with the Wings getting 9 and the Bulls getting 10.
The third period was very quiet. There were only 8 shots on net, 5 for the Wings and 3 for the Bulls. Neither team scored which left the final score 4-0 in favor of the Bulls. Both teams got the chance on the powerplay but were unable to take advantage of it.
The Wings will travel to Bismarck to take on the Bobcats next weekend, March 24th and 25th. The Wings currently sit in 4th place in the Central.
The Wings will return to the Odde to host the Minot Minotauros March 31st and April 1st.  Tickets are available now at Tickets.Aberdeenwings.com.
