Steve Obarzanek Is in his first season with the Aberdeen Wings.  He has helped lead the Wings into the playoff hunt in only their 2nd season in the NAHL.  Steve has played in only 32 games this year and still leads the team with 26 goals.  He adds 7 assists along with that for a total of 33 points.  His 26 goals is 3rd overall in the NAHL and he is also 5th in shooting percentage with .265.  He also adds 4 game winning goals on the season.

With Steve suffering an injury the league has chosen to replace him with Mack Ohnsted.

Mack is in his second season with the Aberdeen Wings and has earned the title of Assistant Captain.  As one of the veterans on this years team Macks leadership has been just as important as the numbers he has put up.  Mack is currently 2nd on the team in points with 5 goals and 29 assists for a total of 34 points.  Mack is also currently 2nd on the team in +/- with a +13 for the season.

Lane Mahoney is in his 2nd year with the Aberdeen Wings.  He has helped the team grow into a playoff contender.  Mahoney has played in 40 games this season for the Wings and has scored 6 goals along with 21 assists.  His 27 points are 4th for defensemen in the NAHL.  He is also 2nd  in the NAHL in shots with 116.  Lane has also added 1 game winning goal this season.

Cory Ward has earned the Captain’s C in only his 2nd year with the Wings.  The veteran has used his strong work ethic to lead the Wings in points with 45, 23 goals and 22 assists.  Cory is 5th overall in the NAHL in points as well as 3rd in shots with 168 and 1st in shootout goals with 4.  Cory is also the first Wings player to sign a division 1 scholarship.  Next year he plans to attend Bemidji State University.  Along with these accomplishments Cory has also reached another milestone this season getting his 100th NAHL point.

These 3 players have not only led the Aberdeen Wings to their first playoff birth as a young franchise.  But also have helped the Wings lead the Central Division in attendance, and 10th overall in attendance in the NAHL.  All 3 are also a huge part of the league leading penalty kill.  For the rest of the Central roster click on the link below.
