Wings Production Helps State FB Broadcast

Nov 14, 2014

Over the weekend, the state championship football games for all classes in South Dakota were played inside the Dakota Dome in Vermillion. The games were broadcast on South Dakota Public Broadcasting television. Some members of the Aberdeen Wings production crew were hired to help produce the broadcast.

“It was fun,” said Christian Christianson, Wings video engineer. “There wasn’t a bad game so that made it fun to capture the memories.”

Christianson has been the Video Engineer for the Aberdeen Wings since mid-way of the first season in 2010-2011. He operated camera equipment on the sidelines as well as ran cables. The entire production features a full truck, multiple camera angles, and multiple replays.

“We all feel invested in this team and that we are a part of helping these young men advance in their career,” said Ward Hilger, Aberdeen Wings production manager. “Having the professionals that we do, like Christian, is a great asset to our organization.”

The Aberdeen Wings are home against the Brookings Blizzard on Saturday, November 22nd.
