Wings Move Into 4th Place in Central!

Friday March 4th: MN Magicians 4 @ Aberdeen 5 – Ethan Stewart scored twice as the Wings moved back into the 4th and final playoff spot in the Central with a 5-4 home win over the Magicians. Things were even at 2-2 after two periods as Stewart and Matt Pulver scored for the Wings and Pierce Crawford and Casey Jerry answered for the Magicians. In a wild 3rd period, Aberdeen got three goals, including another from Stewart and others from Jackson Graalum and Tyler Bossert to edge Minnesota. Both Magicians goals in the period came from Tanner Tweeten, who scored the first two NAHL goals of his career. Peter Thome made 25 saves in the win, while Will Ulrich made 26 saves in the loss. Saturday March 5th: MN Magicians 2 @ Aberdeen 5 – A four-goal 2nd period led the Wings to a 5-2 win on Saturday, which completed a weekend sweep, keeping the Wings in the 4th and final playoff spot in the Central. The Magicians got on the board in the 1st period with a goal from Travis Brown.  The Wings took over in the 2nd period with four goals in 15 minutes from Ryan Cook, Jackson Graalum, Tucker DeYoung and Will Hammer. In the 3rd period, John Peterson scored a power play goal for the Magicians and Tyler Bossert added an empty-net goal for the Wings. Gavin Paczosa made 38 saves in the win, while Will Ulrich made 23 saves in the loss. Boxscore

The Wings have a 3 game week ahead of them as they will travel to Minot on Tuesday for a 7:05 CST puck drop.  Friday the Wings will load the bus again and head to Richfield, MN to take on the Magicians Friday and Saturday.
