New Wings

Nik Mayrhauser a defense man from Austria came over to the Wings in late December, but played for the Austrian U20 national team over the holiday break.  Nik is a  6'2" 200lb right handed defenseman who was traded from Fairbanks.  "Nik will add some size to our defense, he is also very skilled and will help with the power play.

Chad Catt  a goaltender from Amarillo is a 5'10" 183lbs.  He played his high school hockey in Michigan.  "Chad will help stabilize our goaltending.  He will also ad a locker room presence.  We are excited to see what Chad can do between the pipes and off the ice."

Emil Blomqvist, the Sweden native is a 6'5" 200 lb forward.  Emil comes to the Wings from Brookings.  "He has great size and reach and good puck protection skills.  We will count on him around the net."

Former Wings

Mike Parnell, Mike was traded in late December to Fairbanks.  Mike was a great leader and captain for the Wings this past season.  Parnell brought quick hands and quick feet to the ice every time he stepped out on it.  We wish Mike the best of luck in Fairbanks and wherever else his career takes him.

Joe Sullivan, Joe was another vet on the Wings team for the past 2 seasons.  Joe served as an assistant captain this past season and was heavily relied on both on and off the ice.  Sully brought the type on intensity and work ethic to the ice that every coach hopes to get out of a vet captain.  We wish Sully the best of luck in Wenatchee and as his career continues to develop.

Marcus Zelzer, Marcus was another vet for us this season.  He was a strong leader both on and off the ice.  Off the ice he was always willing to help out throughout the community.  He was the type of kid you love to have on the roster.  He was a strong leader in the locker room and did everything he could to help the team.  We wish Zelz nothing but success in  as he closes out his NAHL career in Kenai River and moves forward.
