Wings Lose 6-4 To Bismarck

The Aberdeen Wings, fresh off breaking their losing streak couldn’t manage to tame the offense from the Bismarck Bobcats, losing 6-4 at home.

Bismarck would score at the 2:22 mark in the first period with a goal from Logan Rivard. A few minutes later, the Bobcats would get a 2-0 lead with a goal from Cullen Willox. Following the goal, Wings head coach Francis Anzalone made a goaltending change going with #1 Chad Catt (G-Williamstown, MI) for starter #35 Andrew Shortridge (G-Eagle River, AK).

The Wings would scrap together a goal to start the 2nd period from #19 Colin O’Neill (F-Odenton, MD) with assists to #22 Colin Raver (F-Bartlett, IL) and #25 Tucker DeYoung (F-Lake Bluff, IL). The Bobcats would get a goal back one minute later from Evan Geisler. At the 13:13 mark, #13 Michael Soucier (F-Caledon, Ontario) would get his 10th goal of the season for the Wings with assists to #7 Zac Goodrich (D-White Lake, MI) and #16 Kyle Haak (F-Okemos, MI). Wings would be down 3-2 at the end of the 2nd period.

The final period would be an intense one. At the 3:47 mark, Wings forward #14 Collin Hughes (F-Lino Lakes, MN) would score with assist from #12 Austin Heakins (F-Pittsburgh, PA). Now tied 3-3, Bismarck would answer with a goal from Cole Souto. On the power play, the Bobcats would take a 5-3 lead with a goal from Jared Spooner. Wings forward #19 Colin O’Neill would score his 2nd goal of the game with assists from #15 Brendan Riordan (D-Downers Grove, IL) and #25 Tucker DeYoung. The Bobcats would add an empty net goal to win 6-4.
