Wings Fall to Tomahawks on Day III

Sep 16, 2023

The Aberdeen Wings once again had to dig out of a hole Friday night against the Johnstown Tomahawks.  Lukas Klemm was able to get Johnstown on the board early in the first, with a shot from the point finding the back of the net just 1:34 into the game.  Bennett Koupal was able to tie things up 10 minutes later when he netted his first goal of the season with the assists going to Wisener.  Justin Rapp would get the only goal of the 2nd period to give the Tomahawks a 2-1 lead heading into the final 20 minutes.  Early in the 3rd Nick White would give Johnstown a 2 goal lead with the eventual game winner just 1:16into the period.  Logan Gravink would make things interesting down the stretch, scoring his 2nd of the year, at the 14:20 mark.  Assisting on the Gravink goal was Backel & Reim.

The Wings close out the showcase at 2:45 Saturday when they take on the Minnesota Wilderness.  You can watch all the action when the Wings are on the road all season long at City Lights Bar & Event Center.  The Wings are at the Odde next Friday & Saturday for home opening weekend vs. the Bismarck Bobcats.  Reserved season tickets are still on sale at Tickets.AberdeenWings.com.  Single game tickets are available at any of the C-Express locations in Aberdeen.
