Wings Fall in Season Opener

Aberdeen 2 @ Bismarck 7 – Your Aberdeen Wings opened their 2016-2017 season with a 7-2 loss on Saturday.  The Wings opened the scoring with a goal from Carson Dimoff, but Bismarck answered with four straight goals from Brandon Young, Austin Junger, Tobias Fladeby and Nick Alexander to take a 4-1 lead midway through the 2nd period. Tyler Bossert would add one for the Wings to make it 4-2 and the end of two periods. Mismash added both goals in the 3rd period and Zach Kennedy also scored. Will Ulrich made 34 saves in the win, while Arrtu Kulmala made 21 saves in the loss. Boxscore
