Wings Fall 5-1, Down 2 Games In Series

Saturday night, the Aberdeen Wings hosted the Bismarck Bobcats in game three of the first round NAHL Playoffs. The Aberdeen Wings would struggle all game long, losing 5-1. The loss would give the Bobcats a two-game lead in the best-of-five series.

In the first period on the power play, Bismarck would get a goal from Zach Yon. Again, the two teams played very physical racking up 20 penalty minutes in the first period. The big push for the Bobcats would be in the second period scoring three goals. Those tallies would come from Chris Diver, Zach Yon (his 2nd), and Evan Giesler. The Bobcats would lead 4-0 after two period of play.

In the third, the Bobcats would get another goal, this time short-handed from Evan Geisler, his 5th of the series. The Aberdeen Wings would fall in the game 5-1, down two games in the first round of the playoffs.

The Wings will now travel to Bismarck for Game 3 on Friday, April 11th. Should the Wings win Game 3, the next game would Saturday, April 12th at Bismarck. Should the series need a Game 5, it will be played Monday, April 14th at the Odde Ice Center in Aberdeen.
