Wings Come From Behind to Win 3-2!

Your Aberdeen Wings went 50% on the power play Wednesday night for a come from behind 3-2 Central Division victory over the Brookings Blizzard.  After a scoreless 1st period Brookings was able to get 2 goals early in the 2nd to take a 2-0 lead at the midway point of the game.  Aberdeen would respond late in the 2nd with a power play goal from Nathan Burke, assisted by Jonathan Bendorf and Logan Britt.  Just seconds later Adam Pitters would get the equalizer with an assist going to Bendorf.  In the 3rd it was Zach Noble getting the game winner at the 12:40 mark once again on the power play.  Assisting on the Noble goal were Joe Strada and Britt.  Gabe Vinal was great in net stopping 22 of the 24 shots he faced.

The Wings have a quick turn around as they’ll jump on the bus tomorrow and head to Cloquet, MN for a 2 game weekend with the Minnesota Wilderness.  With tonights win the Wings increase their lead in the Central Division to 4 points over the Austin Bruins.  The Wings return home for a 4 game home stand in February taking on the Austin Bruins February 2nd & 3rd and Bismarck February 9th & 10th.  For all the Wings action this weekend stop in to Buffalo Wings & Rings in Aberdeen or log on to HockeyTV.com.  You can always listen to the game on 94.1 The Rock, HubCityRadio.com or The Rock App. the puck drops at 7:05 both nights.
