Throw Back Thursday! Vernon Stops 25 of 25! Wings Shut Out Blizzard Wednesday Night!

Wednesday February 14th Brookings 0 vs. Aberdeen 3 – Matt Vernon stopped all 25 shots that came his way to record his first shutout of the season as the Wings widened their lead in the Central Division with a 3-0 road win over the Brookings Blizzard. The Wings tallied a goal in each of the three periods. Nic Sicoly started the scoring in the 1st period with the eventual game-winning goal. Joe Strada added his 12th goal of the season in the 2nd period as Colton Fletcher scored his 14th goal of the season in the 3rd period to complete the scoring. Blizzard goalie Adam Brizgala made 34 saves in the loss.
