The Wait is Over

Sep 9, 2016

After months of anticipation the Wings will be back in action tonight in Brookings to take on the Blizzard.  As the Wings enter their 7th season in the NAHL, they will be experiencing a lot of firsts.  This will be the first time on the bench for the Wings new coaching staff, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Scott Langer and Assistant Coach Anthony Bohn.  This marks the first road trip for a lot of these players and the first time they will be in Brookings.  Getting through these firsts means we are a little closer to the start of the season and I know all Wings fans will agree that is something they have been waiting for since last April.

Game time is 7:05cst at the Larson Ice Center in Brookings, SD.  The game can be viewed at fasthockey.com.  Our own Jay Kleinknecht will have the call.

Saturday Sept. 10th the Wings will return home for a day filled with activity!  We will begin the day with the Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention 5k.  Registration begins at 9 and the walk will begin at 10.  Registration for the walk will be in the lobby of the Odde.  Anyone participating in the walk will receive FREE admission into Saturdays game.  Game time Saturday will be 7:15cst with the doors opening at 5:30.  General admission tickets are just $5 and can be purchased at the door.  Please note only East Gate (Main Doors) admittance will be available for this game!  We cannot wait to see you this season at the Odde!
