The Aberdeen Wings have announced the tender signing of defenseman Jacob Napier.
Napier, 6’2″, 187lb, hails from Lancaster, NY. The 17-year-old left hander currently plays for Northstar Christian Academy U18. He has committed to play Division I hockey for Western Michigan University.
So far this season, he’s played in 35 games and has 13 goals and 31 assists with 74 penalty minutes. He also played in the 2019-20 NAPHL U16 All Star Game.
“Jacob is a good sized player that possesses a very good skill set and a heavy shot,” Wings head coach and general manager Scott Langer said. “He defends extremely well and has a high-end ability to move pucks. Jacob’s compete level puts him amongst the top defenders in AAA hockey.”
