Roo & Raver Commit to UWSP!

The Aberdeen Wings proud members of the NAHL are pleased to announce that Carter Roo 2017 NAHL Top Prospects participant & Colin Raver have committed to the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point to play Division III Hockey.  “Both Colin and Carter were leaders from the first day I arrived in Aberdeen, very high character young men.” –Head Coach Scott Langer

Carter Roo has been with the Wings for 2 seasons during the 15-16 season Carter played in 59 of the 60 games and had 11 goals and 22 assists for 33 points.  Roo followed that up with playing in all 60 regular season games this season and all 12 post season games.  In the 72 games played this season Roo tallied 19 goals, 40 assists for 62 points.  “Carter has the ability to change a game. He possesses great vision, playmaking ability and the ability to lead”- Coach Langer

Colin Raver is a 3 year vet for the Wings.  He started his career during the 2014-2015 season in that season Raver played in 47 games and had 8 points on 5 goals and 3 assists.  Colin returned for his 2nd year with the Wings and played in 59 games and scored 4 goals and had 9 assists for 13 points.  During his final season with the Wings he played in 59 regular season games and all 12 playoff games and combined to have 18 goals and 15 assists for 33 total points.  “Colin is a big North/South strong player that enjoys playing in the tough areas of the ice. Colin demands a lot of himself and will flourish in Coach Brooks environment.” – Coach Langer

The two men join a Pointers team that went 21-5-3 overall during the 16-17 season including a 7-1 conference record and a WIAC Conference title.  The Pointers fell in the NCAA Division III Quarterfinal.  The Aberdeen Wings organization would like to thank both Colin & Carter for their efforts over the years in Aberdeen, we wish you nothing less than greatness in your bright futures!
