Robertson Cup Playoffs Game 1 Tonight at the Odde!

Apr 13, 2018

Friday April 13th

Your Aberdeen Wings (39-16-4-1) host the Minot Minotauros in round 1 of the 2018 Robertson Cup Playoffs tonight at the Odde Ice Center.  The Wings earned the top overall seed in the Central Division and were able to secure home ice throughout the divisional rounds of the playoffs.  The match up is a rematch of last years first round with the roles being reversed this time around.  Last year the Wings were the 4 seed in the Central and were able to take 2 on the road at Minot and come home and close out the series in game 4 with a double overtime series winning goal from Carson Dimoff.  The teams are very familiar with one another having played 4 of the last 6 games against each other.  The teams split those games but Aberdeen was able to get the season series advantage with a 8-3-1 record vs. the Tauros.

General Admission tickets are on sale now at C-Express locations in Aberdeen.  Doors will open at 5:30 and the puck will drop at 7:15pm.  NSU Men’s Basketball coach Paul Sather will be dropping the puck and the Aberdeen Lady Cougars Girls Varsity team will be honored 1st intermission!  With the forecast calling for a snow/rain mix we would like to encourage everyone traveling to the game to plan ahead and take your time.

The Wings will be doing a Jersey Raffle throughout the playoffs for #9 Nathan Burkes Game Worn Jersey.  The tickets are just $5 and all proceeds from the raffle will go to support the Humboldt Broncos Go Fund Me account!  Tickets will be available in the lobby during Wings home games.
