Yesterday, the entire 30-man roster for the Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League, reported for Training Camp which begins today.
Among those that moved into his locker inside the new Aberdeen Wings Hockey Center was the 1st overall pick of the 2014 NAHL Draft for the Wings. Goaltender Gavin Paczosa from Greeley, CO checked in with the Wings staff. Paczosa was selected 19th overall in the 1st round of the 2014 NAHL Draft by the Aberdeen Wings from the Rocky Mountain Rough Riders AAA.
As a member of the Rocky Mountain Rough Riders, Paczosa was 4-2-0 with a 1.95 goals against average. In the 2013-2014 playoffs, Paczosa was one of the highest rated goaltenders in all of AAA hockey going 3-1-0 with a 1.66 goals against average and 95% save percentage.
The Aberdeen Wings begin off-ice training today. For the new players this will be their first opportunity to take in the best facilities in the league including the new Aberdeen Wings Hockey Center which features a fully equipped, state-of-the-art workout and weight training facility, locker room, and many other amenities.
