Palausch Signs Professional Contract

Jul 28, 2014

Former Aberdeen Wings forward Lennart Palausch (F-Mannheim, Germany) has signed professionally over-seas with the Heilbronner Falken of the DEL2.

Palausch played for the Aberdeen Wings last season appearing in only 22 games scoring 3 goals and 5 assists. His NAHL season was cut short after an injury sustained while representing his home land Germany in the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championships in Malmo, Sweden. Palausch who had an assist for Team Germany against Team Canada had to sit out the remainder of the tournament as well as the remainder of the 2013-2014 NAHL season with the injury.

The DEL2 is considered to be comparable to North America's ECHL which has affiliation as "AA" for NHL franchises. Palausch joins fellow German teammate from the World Juniors and former Minnesota Wilderness defenseman Dominik Tiffels who appeared in 53 NAHL games last season.
