Dec 20, 2018

The Aberdeen Wings proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Tim Makowski has made a division I commitment to the University of Alaska Fairbanks of the WCHA.

Makowski is a 98 born defenseman from Ballwin, MO.  The 6’1 174lb lefty is in his 3rd year year with the Wings.  Tim has played in 133 games for the Wings over that time and has accumulated 7 goals and 30 assists for a 3 year total of 37 points.  Tim is also serving as an assistant captain for the Wings this season.
“Tim is a special person, who is highly motivated to be good at everything he does.  He is a professional in every aspect, from the way he conducts himself off the ice to the way he plays the game.  There is no doubt in my mind that the University of Alaska Fairbanks has recruited a well rounded player.”  Head Coach Scott Langer
“I would like to thank everyone who has helped me get to where I am today.  I want to give a special thanks to my family, The Odde Family, Coach Langer, Coach Bohn, Coach Hill, my billet family and my teammates for always pushing me to be a better player & person.  I can truly say that Aberdeen is like a second home home to me and I can’t thank the community enough for supporting our team.  I’m very excited to attend the University of Alaska Fairbanks next year!”   Tim Makowski
