Jonathan Bendorf Makes NCAA DI Commitment to Mercyhurst University!

Your Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Forward Jonathan Bendorf has made his NCAA DI Commitment to Mercyhurst University!  Jonathan is a 6’ 190lb left handed forward from Yardville, NJ.  He is currently in his 2nd season with the Wings after coming over from the Philadelphia Rebels early last season.  Bendorf played in 68 games in the NAHL last season where he totaled 58 points, 24 goals & 34 assists.  So far this season Jonathan has played in 23 games for the Wings and is the team leader in points with 30, 10 goals & 20 assists.  Jonathan also serves as one of the teams assistant captains.  During the 2014-2015 Season Jonathan earned USPHL Honors while playing for Team Comcast 16U.  He was named Forward of the Year, Most Assists (45) & Most Points (75).  Last season Jonathan earned both the NAHL Central Division Community Service Award & the NAHL Community Service Award for his work off the ice in the Aberdeen community.

Jonathan will join the Lakers next season.  Mercyhurst University is a member of the Atlantic Hockey Conference and is located in Erie Pennsylvania.  The Lakers have a current record on 7-7-2 with a conference record on 5-4-1.
