“I would like to thank my family for supporting me in my journey, as well as all of my friends, teammates and coaches who have believed in me and helped me get to where I am today. I would also like to thank the Aberdeen Wings for allowing me to play for such a great hockey organization. I’m looking forward to competing to keep the Robertson Cup in South Dakota this spring, as well as join my Niagara University family in the fall.” – Jake Sibell

“Jake is a player that has been very persistent in his approach to attain a Division 1 scholarship,” Wings head coach and general manager Scott Langer said. “Day in and day out, he comes to work and battles to be the best player on the ice, no matter if it’s a practice or a game. Jake’s also a tremendous teammate that has earned the respect of the entire locker room and the trust of his teammates. He has put in the time and I can’t wait to see him compete at Niagara University.”

The Niagara Purple Eagles play out of Dwyer Ice arena in Lewiston, New York. They are members of Atlantic Hockey. Currently on the season, they are 2-8-3 overall and 1-7-3-1 conference play.
