Horton Star of the Month, Heller & Dill Honored

The North American Hockey League announced the NAHL Stars of the Month. Three Aberdeen Wings players received honors.

Wings defenseman #4 Jake Horton (D-Plymouth, MN) was named the Easton Defenseman Star of the Month after posting three goals and six assists over the month of March in regular season play. Horton in his two years as an Aberdeen Wings defenseman has tallied 32 goals and 45 assists for 77 points. He has committed to play Division I hockey for the UMass Minutemen.

Wings forward #15 Jordan Heller (F-Bemidji, MN) was named the Easton Forward 2nd Star of the Month after his outstanding play throughout March in the regular season. Heller put up 6 goals and 5 assists in the month. He scored two goals against Bismarck on March 1st in a 5-4 win and again scored two goals in a 5-1 win over Brookings. Heller has tallied 30 goals and 43 assists for 73 points in his time with the Aberdeen Wings. He has committed to play Division I hockey for the Bemidji State University Beavers.

Wings goaltender #30 Henry Dill (G-Columbus, OH) was named honorable mention for the Brian’s Custom Sports Goaltender of the Month. Dill had a hot March winning all 5 games he played including a 6-0 shutout win over Brookings. Throughout the month, Dill was 5-0-0 with a 92% save percentage stopping 130 shots. This season, Dill’s rookie year, he is 20-7-1 with a 2.26 goals against average and a 93% save percentage. Dill has committed to play Division I hockey for the UMass Minutemen.
