On Monday, the North American Hockey League announced the Divisional Stars of the Week. The Aberdeen Wings were represented in the Central Division with two honorable mentions. The Wings split the weekend with Minot dropping Friday night’s game in overtime 2-1 and winning thrilling fashion on Saturday in front of nearly 1,400 fans 3-2 over Minot.

Receiving honorable mention from the league was goaltender #1 Chad Catt (G-Williamstown, MI). Friday night, he stopped 36 of 38 shots on goal and got the win Saturday night stopping 23 of 25 shots. This season Catt is ranked #3 in goals against average in the NAHL based on goalies who have played over half of their team’s games.

Also receiving honorable mention was Wings forward #16 Kyle Haak (F-Okemos, MI). In Friday night’s OT loss, he offered an assist in the Wings’ lone goal to #27 Erik Baskin (F-Minnetonka, MN). On Saturday night, Haak would put the Wings on the board first in the second period with his 7th goal.

The NAHL Aberdeen Wings are in action this Friday and Saturday night at home against the visiting NAHL Wenatchee Wild and their head coach Bliss Littler, one of the most pretigous coaches ever in Junior Hockey. General admission $10, Reserved seating $12.
