The Aberdeen Wings faceoff with the Minnesota Wilderness tonight and tomorrow night at the Odde Ice Center.

The Aberdeen Wings (10-4-1) come into the game after an exciting 5-4 overtime win against the Bismarck Bobcats. Their opponent this weekend is the Minnesota Wilderness, an expansion team in their inaugural season. So far, the Wilderness (12-2-3) have been hot in the NAHL. Led by their strong goaltending from #33 Kasimir Kaskisuo (G-Vantaa, Finland) who currently is the 2nd highest rated goaltender (1.06 GAA) in the NAHL. The Wilderness offense does not have a trended star player on their lines as the point scoring is fairly spread across the roster. But on the road, the Wilderness have only scored 14 goals which is an advantage for Aberdeen as they have scored 26 goals at home. To combat the fact that the Wilderness have recorded 6 shutout wins this season, the Aberdeen Wings have only been shutout once all season (09/20/13 vs. Johnstown @ Blaine, MN). Aberdeen will also challenge the Wilderness in special teams as the Wings are ranked 6th in power plays and 4th in penalty kills in the NAHL. The Aberdeen Wings have the lowest amount of penalty minutes in the NAHL. The Wings also outscore the Wilderness in points scoring 128-115.

This is shaping up to be the best matchup in the NAHL this weekend. Come to the Odde Ice Center as the Aberdeen Wings (10-4-1) take on the Minnesota Wilderness (12-2-3) both Friday and Saturday night. General admission tickets are $10 and reserved seating is available for $12. Come early for happy hour and see all the best production of hockey…and GOOOOOO WINGS!

The Wings will have a purple Safe Harbor jersey autographed by the team up for silent auction each night. Also during Saturday's game, the Aberdeen Wings organization and its owners will present Safe Harbor a check from the special jersey auction on October 26th.
