Your Aberdeen Wings (21-11-2-0) host the Minnesota Wilderness (18-15-2-1) this Friday and Saturday night at the Odde Ice Center. The Wings are currently on a 6 game winning streak and have moved into sole possession of 1st place in the NAHL Central Division. The Wilderness and the Austin Bruins have done their part to stick around however. The Wings currently have a 1 point lead on Austin and a 5 point lead over the Wilderness. Aberdeen has had great offensive output from a group of players including a NAHL Central Division Star of the Week honors for Nathan Burke on January 2nd, 2nd Star of the Week honors for John Sladic on January 8th and 2nd Star of the Week for Burke this past weekend. Aberdeen has also seen solid performances in goal from both Matt Vernon and Gabe Vinal. The Duo has split games in net and each have 3 wins since returning from Christmas break.
