Fitzgerald Commits to St. Cloud State!

Your Aberdeen Wings Proud members of the North American Hockey League are pleased to announce that Kevin Fitzgerald has committed to play hockey at  Division I St. Cloud State University!  Kevin is a 6’ 180 pound left handed forward from Hinsdale, IL.  Kevin is currently playing his 2nd year for the Wings.  Last season Fitzgerald played in 50 games for the Wings where he totaled 25 points on 15 goals and 10 assists.  So far this season in 39 games played he has 35 points on 18 goals and 17 assists, including a hat trick this past Saturday in Bismarck.

“Kevin has had to earn everything he has achieved in his hockey career.  Kevin just doesn’t fall short when it comes to work ethic.  As a coach it is a blessing to be able to come to the arena each day to coach a player with such high end character.  The Huskies are getting a first class young man.” –Head Coach Scott Langer

St. Cloud State University plays NCAA DI Hockey in the NCHC Conference.  The Huskies are currently 12-12-1 with a 6-9-1 conference record.  Head Coach Bob Motzko recently lead Team USA to a Gold Medal in the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championships.
