Wings assistant captain Owen DuBois has committed to play hockey for the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.

DuBois, a 6’4″ forward from Madison, WI, is currently playing in his second full season with the Aberdeen Wings. So far in the 2021-22 season, he’s played in all 58 games, scoring seven goals and adding 16 assists. Since joining the Wings late in the 2019-20 season, he’s played in 73 total games, notching 8 goals and 21 assists in the process.

“I am extremely proud and honored to announce my commitment to play Division 1 college hockey at the Air Force Academy,” DuBois said. “I would like to thank all my family, coaches, teammates and friends that have helped me along the way.”

DuBois has one more year of eligibility before joining the Falcons for the 2023-24 season.

“He’s worked really hard this season and has taken on a major role,” Wings head coach Steve Jennings said. “He’s established himself as a leader in our locker room and off the ice, and I’m really proud of him and what he’s done. The Air Force is getting a great player and a great kid. They’re going to love him.”
