College Hockey: UPDATE

It was a big weekend for college hockey. Some former Wings players are helping their team through the NCAA tournament races.

 

AIR FORCE 10 – AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL 3

It was a big win for Air Force in the Atlantic Hockey Association Tournament, who has been explosive in the offensive zone all season long. Former Wings forward Erik Baskin added an assist to the 10-3 win for Air Force. The goaltender on the other side was former Wings’ Hunter Leisner, who surrendered 4 goals. Leisner has had a great season with AIC despite the loss.

 

ALASKA FAIRBANKS 3 – ALASKA ANCHORAGE 2

Former Wings assistant captain Peter Krieger, now with Alaska-Fairbanks added an assist in a 3-2 victory over Alaska-Anchorage over the weekend in WCHA action.

 

NEBRASKA OMAHA 4 – COLORADO COLLEGE 2

Justin Parizek scored a goal in the 2nd period to help propel UNO over Colorado College in a 4-2 win. Nebraska-Omaha is currently ranked 8th in the latest poll for collegiate hockey.
