Burke earns CCHA second team honors: Wings Alumni Update

  • Matt Vernon (2018-19) made 26/29 saves in a 4-2 loss against #3 ranked Denver on Feb 28th.
  • Payton Matsui (2020-21) tallied an assist in a 4-2 win against Arizona St. on Feb 25th. He got another assist in a 4-1 win against Lindenwood on Mar 3rd. Matsui would get a point in his third straight game with an assist in an 8-0 win against Lindenwood.
  • Kyle Gaffney (2020-22) recorded an assist in a 4-1 win against Lindenwood on Mar 3rd. He then scored a goal in an 8-0 win against Lindenwood the next night.
  • Nathan Burke (2016-18) tallied two assists in a 4-3 loss against Ferris State on Mar 3rd. He also signed a contract with the Orlando Solar Bears in the ECHL on Mar 6th. He also got named to All-CCHA second team
  • Seamus Campbell (2020-22) scored a goal in a 4-3 loss against Fort McMurray.
  • Jake Goldowski (2020-21) recorded his first professional career point in the ECHL with an assist in a 5-2 win against the Adirondack Thunder on Mar 4th.
  • Mack Byers (2019-20) scored 2 goals in a 4-5 loss against Michigan Tech on Mar 4th.
  • Jonathan Bendorf (2017-19) scored a goal in a 3-5 loss on Mar 3rd.
  • Riley Murphy (2016-20) tallied an assist in a 8-1 win against Aurora on Mar 4th.
  • Logan Britt (2016-18) got an assist in a 3-7 loss against Niagara University on Mar 5th.
  • Zach Aughe (2019-20) scored a goal in a 7-7 tie against Alaska Anchorage. He scored a goal the next night against the same team in a 2-3 OT loss on Mar 11th.
  • Nathan Smith (2016-17) tallied an assist in a 3-2 win against the Milwaukee Admirals on Mar. 10th.
  • Stepan Pokorny (2018-19) tallied an assist in a 7-2 loss against Minnesota State on Mar 11th.

    • Nico deVita (2019-21) has appeared in seven games so far this season at the University of New Hampshire.
    • Antonio DiPaolo (2019-20) has five assists in 24 games played so far for Univ. of Wisconsin-Superior.
    • Will Gilson (2021-22) has six goals and eight assists in 27 games at the Univ. of Alaska-Anchorage.
    • Cooper Haar (2019-20) has played 38 total games over three seasons so far at Canasius College, tallying three goals and 12 assists. This season, he has two assists in four games.
    • Logan Jenuwine (2016-17) spent a year at Arizona State University before transferring to St. Lawrence, where he’s appeared in 44 games so far, notching 12 goals and 14 assists with the Lakers.
    • Jack Kelly (2016-18) is currently in his fourth year at St. Norbert College, where he’s appeared in 35 total games. So far this season, he has three assists in 21 games played.
    • Nick Leitner (2015-16) has five goals and five assists in 22 games played for the SPHL’s Pensacola Flyers.
    • Kevin MacKay (2019-22) has appeared in seven games with Trinity College.
    • Kyle Mandleur (2018-19) currently has a goal and an assist in eight games played in his first year with Wilkes University.
    • Joey Molenaar (2017-18) is in his third year with St. Cloud State University, where he has seven goals and eleven assists in 69 total games played, including a goal and five assists this season.
    • Michael Perrone (2018-19) has six goals and eight assists in 23 games played so far this year at UMass-Dartmouth.
    • Jordan Randall (2019-21) is in his second season at the Univ. of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where he has three goals and three assists in 20 games played so far this year.

    • Jake Sibell (2010-21) had a 1-6-1 record in his first year at Niagara University last season. This year, he’s appeared in three games, holding a 1-1 record along with a 3.55 goals-against average and a .857 save percentage.
    • John Sladic (2017-19) is currently in his fourth season at Miami (Ohio) University, where he’s recorded ten goals and eleven assists in 85 career games.
    • Joey Strada (2016-19) is currently in his third year in the SPHL, where he’s played in two games for the Peoria Rivermen.
    • Matt Vernon (2017-19) is in his fourth year at Colorado College. So far this year, he’s appeared in nine games, holding a 2.90 goals-against average and a .895 save percentage.
    • Natan Vertes (2019-21) appeared in four games for the University of Alaska-Fairbanks last season before returning to Hungary this season to play with Fehérvár AV19 in the ICEHL. He currently has four goals and six assists in 31 games.
