Briggs Orr Makes DI Commitment to Ferris State University

The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League are happy to announce that veteran defenseman and former assistant captain, Briggs Orr has committed to Ferris State University to play hockey and continue his education. “I’m very excited to announce my commitment to Ferris State University to continue my academic and athletic career at the division one level. I want to thank the Aberdeen wings organization, the coaches, and everyone else who has helped me reach this point. I want to thank the fans for being there to support me through my career, and my teammates who have helped me along the way. Go Bulldogs!” Briggs Orr

The 6’2″, 200lb right-handed defenseman from El Dorado Hills, CO spent the past two seasons with the Wings playing in a total of 70 games and scoring 24 points (5 goals, 19 assists) from the blue line.

Ferris State University is located in Big Rapids, MI and plays Division I Mens Hockey out of the CCHA.  Last season the Bulldogs finished 8-27-2 overall with a 6-18-2 conference record.  Orr follows former Wings players Stepan Pokorny (2018-2019) and Nico DeVita (2019-2021) who also played for the Bulldogs.
