Beaune, Brandon, Murphy & DiPaolo Named Team Captains!

Your Aberdeen Wings are pleased to announce that Defenseman Jake Beaune has been named team Captain.  Beaune becomes the 11th player in Franchises history to be named team captain.  Joining him as Assistant Captains are Defenseman Pierson Brandon, Forward Riley Murphy and Defenseman Antonio DiPaolo.

Jake Beaune is a 19 year old from Livonia, MI.  The 6’3 190lb Defenseman is in his second year with the Aberdeen Wings.  Last Year Jake put up 10 points (1 goal, 9 assists) and was a plus 13+-.   “Jake understands the critical concept of commitment to this team.  He will fully dedicate himself to leading this team and continuing the culture we have in Aberdeen.  I know Jake possesses the character to willingly and selflessly make sacrifices for the betterment of this organization.  He is very deserving of this title.”  Head Coach Scott Langer
Pierson Brandon is a 19 year old from Irvington, NY.  The 6′ 170lb Defenseman is also in his second year with the Wings.  Last season Brandon had 5 goals and 26 assists in 72 games played, including 6 playoff assists.  Brandon was a plus 54 on the season.  He has committed to Air Force Academy.  “Pierson Brandon is an extremely competitive player that leads by example.  He is a player that strives to put his teammates and logo first.” Head Coach Scott Langer
Riley Murphy is a 19 year old, 6’1 185lb forward from Rockford, MI.  He is in his 3rd season with the Wings.  Over the past two seasons Riley has racked up 84 points (36 goals, 48 assists) in 190 games played.  He has a career +- of plus 30.  “Riley is a veteran player that knows our culture well.  He understands how things are supposed to be done and will be a great addition to this years leadership.” Head Coach Scott Langer
Antonio DiPaolo is a5″10 179lb, 20 year old Defenseman from Saskatoon, SK Canada.  Antonio is in his first season with the Wings.  Before coming here he spent 3 seasons with the Humbolt Broncos and 2 with the La Ronge Ice Wolves on the SJHL.  During his time in the SJ Antonio put up 72 points (22 goals, 50 assists) in 139 games played.  “Antonio DiPaolo is a veteran player that brings an immense amount of leadership both on and off the ice.  He has been here a very short time, yet has been a strong leader since training camp.” Head Coach Scott Langer
