A number of Wings Alumni were in action this past weekend — here’s a look at some of the action.

Nathan Burke (’16-’18) Burke assisted on the first goal of the game, but it wasn’t enough as the top ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers fell 3-2 to Notre Dame Friday.  Burke is in his third season with the Golden Gophers; he has ten goals and 14 assists in 71 games played.

Tucker DeYoung (’14-’16) DeYoung continued to light up the scoring column Friday night with a goal in a 5-2 Army win over Long Island.  DeYoung now has eight goals and eleven assists in his four years with Army.

Kevin Fitzgerald (’15-’17) Fitzgerald had a goal and an assist Friday in a 6-2 loss to Western Michigan. Fitzgerald has played in 110 games for the Huskies; so far, he has 25 goals and 33 assists. He was a member of the 17-18 & 18-19 NCHC Regular Season Championship Teams.

Nathan Smith (’16-’17) Smith had a goal and an assist as his Minnesota State Mavericks beat Lake Superior State 3-0 Friday night. Smith also added an assist Saturday night in a 6-2 win. Over two seasons with the Mavericks, he has compiled eleven goals and 26 assists in 44 games played. Smith was named to the 2019-20 WCHA All-Rookie Team and was a part of the WCHA Regular Season Championship Team. Smith was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2018 NHL Draft.

Ethan Stewart (’15-’17) Stewart had quite the night Friday, scoring a pair of goals and an assist to help lead Ferris State to a 7-0 win over Trine University. Stewart is playing in his junior season with Ferris State; he has five goals and five assists in 30 games played in his collegiate career.

Stepan Pokorny (’18-’19) Pokorny ended Friday with two assists, both of which came on Ethan Stewart’s goals in a 7-0 win for Ferris State over Trine Friday night. Pokorny now has points in two of his last three games played.

Andy Carroll (’16-’17) Carroll had an assist on the first goal of the game in a 6-2 Minnesota State win over Lake Superior State Saturday night. Carroll is in his junior season with the Mavericks; so far in his collegiate career, he has four goals and 13 assists in 69 games played for the Mavericks. He was a part of the 2018-19 WCHA Championship and Regular Season Championship team, as well as the 2019-20 Regular Season Championship team at MSU before the season was cut short.
