Alumni Update: December 2022

Several former Wings added points for their collegiate teams during the month of December.

  • Stepan Pokorny (2018-19): Scored his fourth goal of the season in Ferris State’s 3-2 win over Minnesota State on Dec. 3. He added an assist in his team’s 5-2 win over Northern Michigan on Dec. 9. He also scored just 10 seconds into the second period in Ferris State’s road loss against St. Thomas on Dec. 16, and had another goal in their win over the Tommies on Dec. 17. Overall, he’s played in 72 games with the Bulldogs, racking up eleven goals and 24 assists over three seasons, including six goals and six assists so far this year.
  • Mack Byers (2019-20): Scored both goals for St. Thomas in a tie against Bemidji State on Dec. 3. He had another impressive night with two goals in his team’s 7-4 win over Ferris State on Dec. 16. After spending two seasons with Northern Michigan University, Byers has appeared in 20 games for the Tommies, scoring ten goals and adding three assists.
  • Nathan Burke (2016-18): Had a goal in Bowling Green’s 5-1 win over Lake Superior on Dec. 3. He also scored a power play goal for Bowling Green in a loss to Ohio State on Dec. 17. After three seasons at the University of Minnesota, he’s currently in his second year with the Falcons, where he’s notched 24 goals and 12 assists in 57 games played, including eight goals and five assists in 20 games this season.
  • Adam Pitters (2016-19): Joined forces with fellow alumni Spencer Schneider on an assist in Bowling Green’s 5-1 win over Lake Superior on Dec. 3. In 89 total games with the Falcons, he’s scored six goals and added 16 assists, including four goals and four assists in 14 games so far this season.
  • Spencer Schneider (2019-21): Added a secondary assist along with Adam Pitters in Bowling Green’s 5-1 win over Lake Superior on Dec. 3. In two seasons with the Falcons, he has two goals and seven assists in 48 total games, which includes three assists so far this year.
  • Logan Jenuwine (2016-17): Notched an assist on Lake Superior’s lone goal in a loss against Bowling Green on Dec. 3. He notched his third goal of the season in his team’s 3-2 win over Bemidji on Dec. 9. He spent a year at Arizona State University before transferring to St. Lawrence, where he’s appeared in 41 games so far, notching 12 goals and 13 assists with the Lakers.
  • Logan Britt (2016-18): Recorded his first goal of the season and added an assist in Sacred Heart’s 4-2 win over Northeastern on Dec. 6. After two seasons at Quinnipiac University, he’s currently in his second season at Sacred Heart, where he has a goal and four assists in 16 games. Overall, he’s recorded four goals and 22 assists in 53 games with the Pioneers.
  • Connor Beatty (2018-20): Scored twice in Endicott’s 3-2 overtime win over Wesleyan on Dec. 7. For his efforts, Beatty was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week. So far this season, he has racked up five goals and four assists in eleven gams played. In his three years at Endicott, he has 18 goals and eleven assists in 40 games.
  • Jonathan Bendorf (2017-19): Added an assist in Mercyhurst’s 4-3 win over Army on Dec. 9. This season, he has two goals and four assists in 16 games. In four seasons with the Lakers, he’s appeared in 97 total games, scoring 22 goals and adding 28 assists.
  • Andy Carroll (2016-17): Notched an assist in Minnesota State-Mankato’s 2-1 win over Bowling Green on Dec. 9. He also added a goal and an assist in his team’s 6-2 win on Dec. 10. He’s currently in his fifth year with the Mavericks, where he’s played in 151 career collegiate games so far, scoring ten goals and adding 40 assists. This season, he’s got a goal and ten assists in 20 games.
  • Payton Matsui (2020-21): Added an assist along with Kyle Gaffney in Alaska-Fairbanks’ 5-2 win over Alaska-Anchorage on Dec. 9. He notched an assist in Alaska-Fairbanks’ 7-2 win over Alaska-Anchorage on Dec. 10, and added an assist in their 4-0 win on Dec. 16 and in their 1-0 win over Alaska-Anchorage on Dec. 17. In two seasons with the Nanooks, he’s got four goals and nine assists to his name.
  • Kyle Gaffney (2020-22): Added an assist with Payton Matsui in Alaska-Fairbanks’ 5-2 win over Alaska-Anchorage on Dec. 9. He had a big night against the same team on Dec. 10 when he scored two goals in a 7-2 win. In 15 games played during his first season with the Nanooks, he’s recorded three total goals and four assists.
  • Will Gilson (2021-22): Scored a goal in Alaska-Anchorage’s 7-2 loss to Alaska-Fairbanks on Dec. 10. So far on the season, he has three goals and one assist in 13 games played.

  • Christian Abrams (2019-21) has one assist in eleven games played this season with Elmira College. Currently in his second year, he has three goals and six assists 37 total games played.
  • Hugo Allais (2021-22) currently has one goal and two assists in eleven games played with the University of Quebec-Trois-Rivières.
  • Will Arquiett (2020-21) has a goal and two assists on the season at St. Lawrence University. In his two seasons with the Saints, he has two goals and two assists in 24 total games.
  • Zach Aughe (2019-20) started his collegiate career playing six games for the University of Maine. In the past two season, he’s played in 22 games for Lindenwood University, where he’s scored six goals and added two assists.
  • Bauer Barry (2021-22) has three assists in nine games with Concordia College.
  • Jake Beaune (2018-20) has played in 52 games over two seasons at Mercyhurst University. He has a goal and an assist on the year so far, with two goals and five assists to his name overall.
  • Brad Belisle (2018-19) has spent the past four seasons at Bemidji State University, where he’s appeared in 20 games total, notching a goal and three assists in the process.
  • Jacob Bossé (2021-22) has one assist in five games with Milwaukee School of Engineering.
  • Pierson Brandon (2018-20) has spent the past three seasons with Colgate University, where he’s scored seven goals and added 23 assists in 75 games played. So far this season, he’s got a goal and four assists in 16 games.
  • Jakob Breault (2019-20) spent two seasons with Alaksa-Fairbanks before transferring to Utica College this year. So far, he has five goals and three assists in eleven games played with the Pioneers.
  • Clayton Cosentino (2019-21) is currently in his second season at the U.S. Air Force Academy. After a standout rookie season which landed him a spot on the NCAA AHA All-Rookie Team, he currently has two goals and six assists in 18 games with the Falcons. Overall, he’s scored nine goals and added 23 assists in 54 games.
  • Nico deVita (2019-21) played his first collegiate season at Ferris State before transferring to to the University of New Hampshire. So far, he’s played in four games this season with the Wildcats.
  • Antonio DiPaolo (2019-20) spent two seasons at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks before continuing his education this year at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. So far, he has one assist in ten games played.
  • Cullen Ferguson (2020-21) had ten assists in 37 games during his inaugural season at Union College. In his second year, he has two goals and two assists in 17 games played.
  • Colton Fletcher (2016-18) spent two seasons at SUNY-Oswego before spending the last two years on various teams in the SPHL. He currently has four assists in six games played with the Knoxville Bears.
  • Cooper Haar (2019-20) has played 38 total games over three seasons so far at Canasius College, tallying three goals and 12 assists. This season, he has two assists in four games.
  • Colton Huard (2017-19) currently has a goal and nine assists in 19 games played at the University of New Hampshire. In two seasons, he’s scored seven goals and added 19 assists in 47 total games played.
  • Jack Kelly (2016-18) is currently in his fourth year at St. Norbert College, where he’s appeared in 35 total games. So far this season, he has three assists in 21 games played.
  • Nick Leitner (2015-16) spent two seasons at Bemidji before being picked up by the Knoxville Ice Bears in the SPHL, where he currently has a goal and three assists in 12 games.
  • Kevin MacKay (2019-22) has appeared in two games with Trinity College.
  • Tim Makowski (2016-19) has spent the past four years at St. Lawrence University, where he’s now the current captain of the Saints. So far this season, he has five assists in 12 games. Overall, he’s recorded four goals and added 18 assists over 94 games.
  • Kyle Mandleur (2018-19) currently has a goal and an assist in seven games played in his first year with Wilkes University.
  • Thomas Manty (2020-21) scored three goals and added two assists 25 games during his inaugural season with Brown University. He’s appeared in one game during his second year with the Bears.
  • Joey Molenaar (2017-18) is in his third year with St, Cloud State University, where he has six goals and seven assists in 61 total games played.
  • Riley Murphy (2016-20) spent two seasons with the University of Alaska-Fairbanks before transferring to Adrian College this season. He currently has two goals and an assist in nine games played.
  • Cade Neilson (2019-22) is in his first season at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, where has two assists in 12 games played.
  • Michael Perrone (2018-19) is currently in his third season at UMass-Dartmouth, where he has four goals and two assists in ten games played so far. Overall, he has 23 goals and 20 assists in 63 games.
  • Jack Powell (2018-20) is currently in his third season at Bemidji State University, where he’s played in 14 total games.
  • Jordan Randall (2019-21) has played in 34 games over two seasons at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, scoring six goals and four assists. This season, he has one assist in eight appearances.
  • Thomas Rocco (2018-19) played three seasons at St. Cloud State before transferring to SUNY-Oswego this year. So far, he has five goals and four assists in 12 games played.
  • Trevor Russell (2019-21) appeared in 18 games last season at Michigan Tech but didn’t record any points. However, the defenseman already has four goals in 14 games this season with the Huskies.
  • Max Salpeter (2018-19) is in his second season with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where he’s recorded three assists in 22 total games played.
  • Adam Shuchart (2021-22) has played in two games with Norwich University.
  • Jake Sibell (2010-21) had a 1-6-1 record in his first year at Niagara University last season. This year, he’s appeared in two games, holding a 1-1 record along with a 3.55 goals-against average and a .857 save percentage.
  • John Sladic (2017-19) is currently in his fourth season at Miami (Ohio) University, where he’s recorded ten goals and eleven assists in 84 career games.
  • Nathan Smith (2016-17) spent four seasons at Minnesota State University before appearing in ten games for the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, where he grabbed two goals and two assists. He also notched a goal and an assist while playing for Team USA in the Olympic Games. He’s currently rostered with the Tucson Roadrunners in the AHL, where he has seven goals and six assists in 25 games played.
  • Joey Strada (2016-19) is currently in his third year in the SPHL, where he’s currently played in two games for the Peoria Rivermen.
  • Matt Vernon (2017-19) is in his fourth year with Colorado College, where he’s appeared in 61 career games. So far this year, he’s played in six games, holding onto a 3.26 goals-against average and a .888 save percentage.
  • Natan Vertes (2019-21) appeared in four games for the University of Alaska-Fairbanks last season before returning to Hungary this season to play with Fehérvár AV19 in the ICEHL. He currently has three goals and four assists in 15 games played.
  • Gabe Vinal (2017-18) played for four seasons at Brown University before transferring to Clarkson University this year.
  • Dalton Weigel (2017-19) is in his fourth year at the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he has three assists in 35 games played.
  • Henry Welsch (2018-20) is currently in his third season at UMass-Lowell, where he’s played in 28 total games. So far this season, he’s appeared in ten games, holding a 2.06 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage.
  • Jackson Yee (2020-22) has played in nine games this season with fellow Wing alum Jacob Bossé at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
