A 6 goal 2nd period would lift the Wings past the Chippewa Steel Saturday night, giving them the 2 game road sweep.  Aberdeen was once again able to get on the board first with a 1st period goal from Mitch Machlitt at the 10:04 mark.  Assisting were Brandon and Morgan.  The Steel would respond with a goal less than 2 minutes later knotting things up heading into the locker room.  Aberdeen would put on an offensive display in the 2nd scoring just :40 into the period.  Defenseman Dalton Weigel would get that goal with Bendorf & Kennedy getting credited with the assists.  Adam Pitters would get a goal on the power play minutes later with Weigel and Belisle assisting.  Brad Belisle would score back to back goals after that.  Assisting on his first goal was Makowski and Machlitt.  Assisting on the 2nd goal wereMorgan & Machlitt.  Nic Sicoly would get a goal from Makowski and Sladic and finally Jonathan Bendorf would end it on the power play with Sladic and Strada assisting.  That would take us to the end of the 2nd period with the Wings having a 7-1 advantage.  There would be no scoring in the 3rd.  Connor Close was stellar in goal making 21 saves on 22 shots in the game.  The weekend sweep moved the Wings into the top spot in the Central with an 8-2-1-0 record.
