Saturday December 10th 2016 your Aberdeen Wings hosted the Minot Minotauros at the Odde Ice Center.  In what would be a physical game, with 13 penalties, including a Colin Raver vs. Jake Dittel 2nd period fight.  The Wings were able to walk away with an overtime win thanks to Andy Carroll.

Minot was able to get off to a fast start scoring just over 2 minutes into the contest.  Aberdeen’s Kevin Fitzgerald would answer late in the first with assists from Carroll & Mackie.  Shawn Knowlton would notch the only goal of the 2nd giving the Wings a 2-1 lead heading into the 3rd.  Assisting on the Knowlton goal was Mackie.  Minot would tie the game in the 3rd sending us to overtime.  Just under 2 minutes into the extra session Andy Carroll would end it with an assist from Carter Roo.  Forbes Ploszaj got the win in net for the Wings stopping 24 of the 26 shots he faced.
