Your Aberdeen Wings (29-23-3-3) close out their regular season home schedule tonight at the Odde Ice Center when they play host to the Brookings Blizzard (28-25-4-1).  This will be the final weekend of the regular season with 4 points on the line and a lot to be decided.  The Wings are currently sitting in 3rd place with 64 points, just behind them are the Brookings Blizzard with 61 points.  Bismarck with 58 points is lurking behind them hoping to sneak into the back door of the playoffs but they are relying on the Wings for some help.  All this is happening with the Wings still having a chance to catch and overtake the Minnesota Wilderness for 2nd place and home ice for the 1st round.  The Wilderness have 68 points but the Wings own the tiebreaker.  So with that being said Aberdeen has clinched a playoff spot but could end the weekend in 2nd, 3rd or 4th.  While there will be scoreboard watching all weekend long The Wings know they need to take care of the task at hand and let the rest of the chips fall as they may.  The trend lately has been solid goaltending and defense and timely scoring that has allowed Aberdeen to move up in the division.  Between the pipes look for veteran goaltended Forbes Ploszaj who has carried the bulk of the minutes for the Wings since joining the team.  Vets Kevin Fitzgerald, Carter Roo, Tyler Bossert & Colin Raver to guide this young Wings team as the regular season comes to an end.

Saturday night the Wings will travel to Brookings to close out the regular season.  Friday night at the Odde is Military Appreciation Night!  All active and veterans will receive FREE admission!  Skate with the Wings after the game! JAM THE STANDS tonight at the Odde Ice Center!
