Brookings 0 @ Aberdeen 4 – Forbes Ploszaj stopped all 28 shots that came his way for his first shutout of the season as the Wings blanked the Blizzard on Friday, 4-0. Aberdeen got two goals from Kevin Fitzgerald (9, 10) in the opening two periods to take a 2-0 lead. In the 3rd period, Gage Mackie added two more goals (7, 8) to make the final score, 4-0. Brookings 1 @ Aberdeen 0 – In a goaltender’s duel on Saturday, it was Brookings netminder Josh Boyko stopping all 41 shots that came his way for his 3rd shutout of the season as the Blizzard salvaged a weekend split thanks to a 1-0 win in Aberdeen. Wings netminder Forbes Ploszaj was almost as equally as good, making 29 saves in the loss. The lone goal of the game came late in the 2nd period from Cade Borchardt, who scored his 15th goal of the season. Boxscore
