Brookings 0 @ Aberdeen 4 – Forbes Ploszaj stopped all 28 shots that came his way for his first shutout of the season as the Wings blanked the Blizzard on Friday, 4-0. Aberdeen got two goals from Kevin Fitzgerald (9, 10) in the opening two periods to take a 2-0 lead. In the 3rd period, Gage Mackie added two more goals (7, 8) to make the final score, 4-0. Carson Dimoff and Shawn Knowlton each chipped in two assists in the win. Brookings goalie Josh Boyko made 40 saves in the loss. Boxscore

Brookings 1 @ Aberdeen 0 – In a goaltender’s duel on Saturday, it was Brookings netminder Josh Boyko stopping all 41 shots that came his way for his 3rd shutout of the season as the Blizzard salvaged a weekend split thanks to a 1-0 win in Aberdeen. Wings netminder Forbes Ploszaj was almost as equally as good, making 29 saves in the loss. The lone goal of the game came late in the 2nd period from Cade Borchardt, who scored his 15th goal of the season. Boxscore

The Wings are on Christmas break this week but will be back in action Friday Dec. 30th when they travel to Brookings before returning to the Odde Saturday Dec. 31st for a New Years Eve match up with the Blizzard!  From all of us in the Wings organization, have a safe & Merry Christmas!
