October 22nd 2010 Your Aberdeen Wings welcomed the Alexandria Blizzard (Now Brookings) to the Odde Ice Center for the first game of a home and home weekend.  The Wings jumped on top early and often getting goals from Max Reavis (2), Nils Semjonovos, Tyler Poulsen and Cory Ward through the first 2 periods to take a 5-0 lead into the 3rd.  The Blizzard were able to get 2 goals midway through the final period to make things a little interesting but ultimately Wings Goaltender Hunter Leisner would shut the door making 42 saves on 45 shots.

The following night the Wings would hit the road and allow Alexandria to play host.  The Wings were to pack the momentum on the bus and take is to the Blizzard once again.  Christian McCollum would get the Wings on the board and Tim Tuscher, Paul Prescott & Cody Marooney would follow his lead to take a 4-0 lead.  Alex would get a goal midway through the 2nd but the Wings responded in the 3rd with goals from Tyler Poulsen and Cory Ward.  Late in the 3rd the Blizzard would add another but it was to late for a comeback as once again Leisner stood tall stopping 53 of the 55 shots he faced giving the Wings the weekend sweep of the Blizzard!
