Aberdeen 1 @ MN Wilderness 8 – The Wilderness put on a show for their home opener,netting eight goals for a 8-1 win over the Aberdeen Wings on Friday. Three first period goals were credited to Tim Nicksic, Logan Stork and Nick Olczyk. Aberdeen snuck in a goal early in the second from Zach Noble, until the Wilderness would add 5 more goals in their win. The next five Minnesota goals came from Alexander Esbjors, Charlie Parker, Troy Dobbs, Tim Nicksic and Pavel Mikhasenok. Luke Kania took the win in net for the Wilderness with 21 saves, while Aberdeen’s Arttu Kulmala was given the loss with 19 saves.  Boxscore

Aberdeen 5 @ MN Wilderness 4 – Six goals scored in the third period determined a winner between Aberdeen and Minnesota, giving the Wings a “W” on Saturday to cause a weekend split. The Wilderness opened scoring with goals from Louis Roehl and Mitchell Walinski early in the second period. Five straight goals by the Wings were strung together, credited to Trystan Isenhour (2), Andy Carroll, Carter Roo and Gage Mackie. Minnesota would add two goals from Michael Zuffante and Tim Nicksic late in the third, but Aberdeen held on for the win. Arttu Kulmala was given the victory for the Wings with 22 saves, while the Wilderness’ Trevor Micucci took the loss after 29 saves.  Boxscore

The Wings are back in action this Friday in Bismarck then at the Odde Saturday to take on Minot!
