Central Division Finals, Game 1: Aberdeen Wings 4 @ MN Wilderness 3 (2OT) (Aberdeen leads series, 1-0) – After almost two full periods of play, Logan Jenuwine scored the double OT winner on a breakaway to put the Aberdeen up by one game in this Central Division Finals. Zach Mills opened the game at 16:26 of the first off a pass from Jesse Farabee and Eric Gotz. Louis Roehl extended the Wilderness lead to 2 at 0:17 of the second period, assisted by Mills and Michael Zuffante. Minnesota’s Tim Nicksic brought their scoring total to three after a pass from Pavel Mikhasenok at 6:44 of the second. Carter Roo scored Aberdeen’s first goal of the game – at 19:49 of the second with help from Kevin Fitzgerals and Tyler Bossert. Fitzgerald notched one of his one at 13:37, with help from Logan Jenuwin and Carson Dimoff to cut the lead to one. Colin Raver found the back of the net off a pass from Roo at 15:58 to tie the game, forcing an overtime period. At 18:03 of the second OT, Jenuwine notched one of his own to earn the 2OT winner – off a pass from Dimoff. Minnesota’s Luke Kania made 62 saves on the night, while Aberdeen’s Forbes Ploszaj stopped 43 shots.
