Your Wings hit the ice for the first game of day 2 of the NAHL Showcase to take on the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Knights.  The early puck drop did not keep the Wings from coming out strong, finding the net was ultimately proved to be their biggest problem.  Both teams went into the 1st intermission tied 0-0, with the Wings out shooting the Knights 13-6.  It was more of the same throughout most of the 2nd period, that is until WBS was able to get a shorthanded goal off an Aberdeen neutral zone turn over with under a minute left in the period.  The Wings would finally get on the board with 6 minutes to go in the 3rd when Dennis Bernhardtz lit the lamp to tie things up 1-1.  Everything looked to be headed to another overtime until the Knights were able to get another goal from the point with just 46 seconds remaining in the 3rd.  That would prove to be the game winner as the Wings were unable to answer.  Arrtu Kulmala played the entire 60 minutes for the Wings and finished with 16 saves on 18 shots.  Aberdeen ended up out shooting the Knights 37-18.

Aberdeen will have a much needed break after playing their 2nd game of the showcase just 17 hours after their first game ended.  They will play the final game of day 3 at 8:15pm Friday against the Amarillo Bulls.
