Brookings 1 @ Aberdeen 2 (SO) – Jonathan Bendorf scored the game deciding goal in the shootout to lift the Aberdeen Wings to a 2-1 shootout victory over the Brookings Blizzard. Zach Noble scored the only goal in regulation for Aberdeen and Gabe Vinal made 25 saves to pick up his 17th win of the season. Brock Draeger scored the lone goal for Brookings in the loss while Adam Brizgala made 40 saves for the Blizzard.
The win and another Bruins loss increases the Wings lead in the Central division to 10 points. The Bruins were able to clinch a playoff spot with the Bismarck Bobcats getting swept by the Minnesota Wilderness. The Wings are back at the Odde next weekend for the final time this (regular) season! It’s a jam packed weekend of action as the Wings will host the Minot Minotauros!
