Feb 11, 2018

Friday Feb. 9th Bismarck 1 @ Aberdeen 5 – Aberdeen forward Adam Pitters had a hat-trick as the Wings widened their lead in the Central Division with a 5-1 home win over Bismarck. The Wings opened up a 3-0 lead through the first two periods thanks to a 1st period goal from Jonathan Bendorf and two goals in the 2nd period from Zach Noble and Pitters. After Bismarck scored their lone goal of the game early in the 3rd period on Andrew Bellant’s first as a Bobcat, the Wings put the game on ice thanks to two more goals from Pitters, which completed his hat-trick. Matt Vernon made 15 saves in the win, while Ryan Ullan made 28 saves in the loss.

Saturday Feb. 10th Bismarck 3 @ Aberdeen 1 – The Bobcats scored three unanswered goals and had an incredible penalty kill all weekend as they salvaged a weekend split with the Aberdeen Wings. Jacob Marti scored shorthanded, Mitchell Walinski netted a power play goal while Grant Johnson settled for a five-on-five goal. John Roberts was incredible as he stopped 44 shots from the Wings. Colton Fletcher was the only Wing to find the back of the net.

With Colton Fletchers goal Wings fans sent 13 XL garbage bags full of Teddy Bears onto the ice!  The bears are part of the Yelduz Shrine Teddy Bear Toss and will be donated to the Shrine Children’s Hospital in the Twin Cities!  The Wings are on the road this weekend taking on 2nd place Austin.
