Wings Skate with School of the Blind & Visually Impaired!

Feb 28, 2018

Tuesday February 27th members of the Aberdeen Wings spent time skating with the South Dakota School for the Blind & Visually Impaired!  This has been an annual event with the SDSBVI.  Students and staff enjoyed spending yesterday afternoon ice skating with the Wings hockey players; each learning from the other.  Most would believe people who are blind or have limited vision would shy away from the challenge of learning how to glide across the cold ice on a thin blade, no not our students they loved the challenge and did a great job at it too. We send out a BIG thank you to the Wings organization and the players who spent the afternoon us.   “Go Wings” – Dawn Lamee, SDSBVI
