Wings Set New Franchise Record With 39th Win!

Aberdeen 2 @ Minot 1 – In a preview of next weekend’s playoff series, the Aberdeen Wings got two goals in the 2nd period and 14 saves from Matt Vernon in a 2-1 win over the Minotauros in Minot. The Minotauros took a 1-0 lead with a 1st period goal from Taylor Lantz. However, the Wings responded with two goals in the 2nd period from Riley Murphy and Colton Fletcher to take a 2-1 lead, which they would hold the rest of the game. Minot goalie Samu Lonkila made 38 saves in the loss.  The Wings set a franchise record with their 39th win of the season.

The two teams will meet again tonight in the regular season finale, and then again next week in the first round best of 5 Robertson Cup Playoffs.  Puck drop tonight is scheduled for 7:35pm.
