The Aberdeen Wings were in action Friday night against the Minnesota Wilderness. The Wings battled but would come up on the losing end 3-0.
The first period would end scoreless as both teams were very physical and effective on getting the puck to the net, but Aberdeen’s goaltender #30 Henry Dill (G-Columbus, OH) and Minnesota’s goaltender #33 Kasimir Kaskisuo would stop every shot on goal.
In the second period, at the 1:44 mark the Minnesota Wilderness would get a rolling puck goal accredited to #5 Lance Carney. In the third period, the Wings would surrender a goal at the 10:08 mark making it 2-0 Wilderness. Minnesota would also get an empty net goal as Aberdeen had the extra attacker.
Wings goaltender #30 Henry Dill stopped 26 of 28 shots.
The Aberdeen Wings are back in action again Saturday night against the Minnesota Wilderness at the Odde Ice Center. General admission tickets are $10, or call ahead for reserved seating $12, 605-280-5852.
