Apr 7, 2014

The 2014 North American Hockey League Playoffs are not off to the start the Aberdeen Wings wanted. Down two games in the best-of-five series opening round against the Bismarck Bobcats, the Wings are looking to rebound and shake off the opening home losses.

The Aberdeen Wings now travel to Bismarck on Friday for Game 3. Should the Wings win, Game 4 would be played Saturday at Bismarck. If they complete the victory on Saturday, Game 5 would be played Monday, April 14th at the Odde Ice Center in Aberdeen.

The Wings have been very successful throughout the season against the Bismarck Bobcats. This season, the Wings won the Titan Cup sponsored by Titan Machinery which is a traveling trophy between the Bobcats-Wings. The better of the two teams by standings in the regular season control the cup. But even more successful for the Wings has been there play on the Bobcats' home ice at the VFW Ice Center. This season, the Wings are 5-0-1 with their only loss coming from a 2-1 shootout loss early in the schedule.

Game 3 can be heard on the Wings Radio Network (107.7 KABD-FM). You can also watch/listen on FASTHockey.com or watch/listen at Tapz Bar & Grill inside the Ramada Inn in Aberdeen. A Wings Fan Bus will depart from the Odde Ice Center on Friday at 3pm, seats are SOLD OUT.
