Wings Announce First Tender

Nov 12, 2015

The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are pleased to announce the signing of Grant Ledford to a tender agreement for the 2016-2017 season.  A 6'3, 190 pound forward, Ledford becomes the first player signed to a tender by the Wings for next season.  Ledford is a 1998 born right shot forward and hails from Jackson, MI.  He is currently in his first season playing at the U18 AAA level for the Meijer Hockey Club in the North American Prospects Hockey League.

"Grant is a hard skating power forward who plays a strong physical game," Assistant Coach / Director of Scouting Mike Grattan said.  "He has a solid frame and uses it to his team's advantage."

Meijer AAA is the former Lansing Capitals program where current Wings forward Kieran Durgan played his midget hockey.  The Meijer/Lansing Capitals program also produced former Wing Ronnie Hein, who currently plays for Waterloo in the USHL, and is committed to Ferris State University for next season.
